Little Miss Program
The Miss Shawnee & Miss Portsmouth Little Miss Program is a pageant competition for girls. To participate, you must be no more than 12 years old on February 8, 2015. There will be Queens crowned in each division and will get the opportunity to participate in the crowning ceremony, and be part of the on-stage production during the Miss Shawnee & Miss Portsmouth competition. You do NOT need to be a resident of Portsmouth or Scioto County to participate. All proceeds from this pageant will be donated to fund college scholarships for the 2015 Miss Shawnee and Miss Portsmouth Titleholders.

$5 cash ages 5 and up.
Of course, reigning Little Miss Shawnee & Little Miss Portsmouth titleholders are FREE.
Visiting royalty may attend with sash/banner only. Please do not wear your crowns.

What are the categories of competition?
The scoring for the Little Miss pageant is as follows:

Modeling School Outfit of Choice (25 points of total score)
Each contestant participates in modeling their school outfit of choice.

Presence & Poise in Formal Wear (25 points of total score)
Each contestant appears on stage in a formal dress of her own choosing. Cupcake style and tea-length dresses are appropriate for ages 0-5. Floor length dresses or tea-length dresses are appropriate for ages 6-12. Scoring is based on the overall first impression, personality and stage presence, walk and posture, and sense of confidence.

Personality/On Stage Conversation (25 points of total score)
Each contestant ages 0-5 will be will be judged on overall personality. Each contestant ages 6-12 will have a conversation with the emcee based on her application. Judges consider scores based upon first impression, stage presence, confidence, and the ability to be a spokesperson.

Photogenic Competition (25 points of total score)
Each contestant will be judged on 1 8x10 or 3x5 headshot. Please bring a photo to the pageant with contestant's name and age written on the back.

What is the cost for the Little Miss Pageant?
The entry fee is the Little Miss Division is $60.00 and includes 1 female adult ticket chaperone (for changing areas).
What are the awards for the Little Miss Pageant?
We will award 1 overall people's choice queen who will receive a custom round crown and a medal. The contestant who donates/collects the most money will earn this award. All money collected will be donated to fund college scholarships for the 2015 Miss Shawnee and Miss Portsmouth Titleholders.
We will award the following optional awards per age division: Best School Wear, Best Formal Wear, Best Personality, Best Hair, Best Eyes & Best Smile!
We will award 8 Queen Titles. Two girls with the highest scores from each division will be chosen to represent the Miss Shawnee/Miss Portsmouth Little Miss Program. Each queen will receive a crown, a custom embroidered sash, a crowning ceremony, her photo featured on our website, she will be part of the production at the 2016 Miss Shawnee & Miss Portsmouth Scholarship Pageant, her photo will be featured in the Scholarship Pageant's Program Book and she will have the opportunity to represent Portsmouth, Ohio in local parades and community activities. We're still adding awesome prizes to our Goody Bag, so check back!
Each queen will win a $100 voucher, courtesy of the Miss Shawnee & Miss Portsmouth Scholarship Program to participate in the Miss Ohio Princess Camp in Mansfield, OH on a date TBA in June for the Miss Ohio’s Outstanding Teen’s Princess Program. She will have the opportunity to:
• Team up with a Miss Ohio’s Outstanding Teen contestant and learn her secrets to success!
• Enjoy the spotlight as you take the stage in a high energy production number during the state pageant!
• Wave to the crowd as you participate in the official Miss Ohio Parade in downtown Mansfield!
• Each princess with receive the official Miss America’s Outstanding Princess Crown and banner!!
