Miss Clay - Adrienne Whitley

Hello, my name is Adrienne Whitley and I am so blessed and honored to be named your Miss Clay 2022. I am the daughter of Laura and Bryan Whitley and sister of Madison and Mckenzie Whitley. I am a three-year Varsity Cheerleader, along with being captain of our squad for one. I am also a three-year member of Key Club, one-year member of Student Council, one-year member of Prom Committee, and one-year member of National Honors Society. I am a straight A honor roll student, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. In my free time I love to travel, dance, and spend time with my friends and family!

As Miss Clay 2022, I have chosen the platform distracted driving, with my slogan being, “Alert today-Alive tomorrow.” This platform is very close to my heart. At the age of three, I lost my father due to distracted driving. There is nothing worse than losing a family member and I am determined to carry on this platform for him. Throughout my River Day’s journey, I hope to educate and speak openly about this topic that deserves so much recognition. I hope to raise awareness in our community on the dangers of distracted driving. I want people to understand how much is at risk when their eyes are taken off of the road, even for a second. There are so many factors of distracted driving such as changing the radio, eating, drinking, cell phones, etc. These actions can certainly be avoided, especially at the cost of your life.

I would like to say a huge thank you to my wonderful pageant mom, Andrea Bailey, and to my family, friends, and community for all of the love and support I have received. I appreciate you all dearly! Becoming Miss Clay is absolutely a childhood dream come true and I am more than ready to represent our Clay community with elegance, poise, and pride. I am so happy to be called a Panther and so thankful to be a part of something as extraordinary as this. Thank you all so much!

The People's Choice Award will be awarded to the contestant who raises the most money for the River Days Festival and will be guaranteed in the Top 5 or 6.
