Mychal Cron, Miss River Days 2022

Hello, my name is Mychal Cron, and I am honored to be Miss River Days 2022. In this yearÅ› pageant I represented the Mighty Minford Falcons as Miss Minford.  I am the daughter of Todd & Melissa Cron. I am a four-year member of the varsity soccer team along with being a two-year captain. I am a member of Happy Campers 4-H club, Scioto County Junior Fair Board, Scioto County Teen Leaders, Ohio Model United Nations, National High School Model United Nations, Bible Club, Prom Committee, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Encore, Students Offering Support (SOS), National Honors Society and Directly Affected teen support group. I am a college credit plus student at Shawnee State University and maintain a 4.0 GPA through this program.

In 2008, I stood on the River Days stage as the newly crowned Tiny Miss River Days Queen, dreaming of competing for the big job of Miss River Days. Now, I am living that dream. Words cannot fathom how thankful I am for this opportunity to represent my school district and community in the coming year. The River Days Festival presented me with a wonderful opportunity to expand and promote my passion, “She’s More.” This passion is used to establish a sense of purpose and worth in someone living with substance abuse. After seeing friends, community members and even my own family member struggle with addiction, I wanted it to be my goal to love them back to life and acknowledge their identity, value and purpose. My mission is to turn my pain into purpose, educate the community that they are more than just the face of an addict, and break the stigma of addiction.

I would like to thank the faculty and the student body at Minford High School for giving me this amazing opportunity to represent our school. Being Miss River Days is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I have always dreamed of having.

I am proud and honored to be a Falcon from Minford High School and I am looking forward to representing the festival across the state with my sister queens.
