Miss Notre Dame - Trinity Bowling
Hello River Days supporters. I am Miss Notre Dame 2022, Trinity Bowling. I am a 17 year old student athlete. I am a member of the Key Club, swim team, the cheer squad, pep club, and science bowl. I am so incredibly blessed with a wonderful and supportive family. My dad, Shane Bowling, co-owns and operates Legacy Property Maintenance, a lawn care business, as well as being the Pastor of my church, Journey Church. My mom, Tashana Brown, is a 3rd grade teacher at Notre Dame Elementary. She is also currently studying for her Doctorate in Educational Leadership through The University of Dayton . I also have three brothers: Davis is a Senior of Wheelersburg High School and a part of the band as the drum captain. Eli is currently an elementary student at Notre Dame who enjoys football and basketball. Last but not least, Carson, who is also in the elementary school at Notre dame, and enjoys theater and soccer. A fun fact about me is that I have three cats- Buttons, King, and Casper; as well as a snake, William ‘Dino’ Snakespeare.
My platform is, ‘Tell your victory story; coping strategies for better mental health’, because it is very near and dear to my heart. In the past, I have struggled with mental health issues. During some very stressful times, my mental health took a downward dip. Being someone who has had mental health illness, I want to break the stigma that goes along with this illness and help normalize the struggles, rather than only raising awareness. Everyone has their own journey, and there is no shame in dealing with, or discussing these issues. I also want to educate the public on the best and most successful coping strategies. These coping skills can help individuals work through the ups and downs of anxiety and depression, become victorious, and live to tell their story.
The People's Choice Award will be awarded to the contestant who raises the most money for the River Days Festival and will be guaranteed in the Top 5 or 6.
