Miss West - Grace Lucas

My name is Grace Lucas and I am Miss West 2025. I am the daughter of Roy and Melissa Lucas, and I have 2 siblings, Ethan and Chloe. I am a member of my high school’s cheerleading squad, Beta Club, Key Club, and FFA. I am a part of the Scioto County Junior Fair Board and participate in 4H.

My River Days platform is, “The Beat Goes On”- Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Prevention and Protection. I chose this topic due to a congenital heart defect I had, called Wolff Parkinson White, which can lead to SCA if left untreated.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen to anyone at anytime and is the leading cause of death in young athletes. I am grateful for this opportunity to share my story and advocate prevention to protect hearts, so the beat goes on! Thank you!

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

Proverbs 4:23
